Wendy was due to give a talk at a local library in April but was ‘cancelled’ – under election purdah rules. In the run-up to the May local elections, The Candidate’s Husband was flagged as being too political. (Yes, it’s fiction, make-believe, not a political book as such – but local authority libraries are cautious.) The story was picked up by the Times diary.
